Looking up

I left the following comment on my friend Jody’s blog and even as I typed it (in response to her lovely post, which you can read here) I felt Holy Spirit nudge me.

“I have a picture that I took from the top of a set of three stairs outside a small church building in a nameless village in India. Crammed within the frame of the photo are at least 20 children.

“The girls are all wearing bright colors. The boys are filthy. Some of them are smiling. Some of them are decidedly NOT smiling. Some of them look curious, but every face is turned up toward me. Waiting for me to come back.”

And it was as though I heard God say, “Me too.”

  1. I love this picture! No wonder it has grasped your and God’s hearts!! I want to hear more about this trip! Has Jesus said its time to go back yet?

    1. I’m waiting … I love India, but it’s just impossible to lead a student missions trip as a part-time staff member. Two days a week is hardly enough to do what I need to do now – let alone all that comes with a trip like that!

There are some stories from the most recent trip here. They’re formatted funny ’cause I imported them when I switched from Blogger, but there are some stories!
