How to show us your lovely face

Maybe you don’t really care about the weird, geometric face next to your comments, but I think you should take just a minute to set up a pic so we can talk face to face … in a way. Here’s how:

  1. Go to http://gravatar.com.

  2. In the top, left corner select Sign Up from the drop-down menu in the blue bar.

  3. Plug in your email address, but make sure it’s the same email address you enter into Comment sections.

  4. Check your email to activate your account and upload a pic.

Simple, right? And as long as you use the same email for Comments, that pic will show up on any WordPress blog, Intense Debate comments, VideoPress or PollDaddy services. Pretty cool, and this way, you’ll never risk being the sprocket-shaped face with the crazy eyes and vampire fangs. No one wants to be that guy.

After you get yourself set up, test it here!

365 Crummy Cell Phone Pics

I’ve decided on Resolution #2: Crummy Cell Phone Pic of the Day!

The self-portrait part of last year’s project got to be tiresome, so I didn’t want to do that again. I like people’s iPhone Pic/Day projects, but don’t have an iPhone sooo …

And I’ve decided that no one is really interested in the details of my mundane, average day so I’m limiting myself to haiku. Kicked it off today (a week late, in keeping with tradition) with:

And:

Lots of snow today.
Noeleen bought Indian food.
Practice is cancelled.

The whole, glorious thang will be here.

What’s your Resolution #2? If it’s something you can link us to, hook it up in the comments!

December in Pictures

I didn’t exactly finish the 365 Project strong, but I finished! Turns out ’10 is not going to be the year of “iPhone Pic Per Day,” so I’m wondering what to do. The self-portrait thing got pretty annoying, but it’s a great way to journal too. I may just do a Crappy Cell Phone Pic Per Day project this year. :)

December will go down in ’09 history as the month the bathroom got (mostly) done. There are a couple little things to finish up, but there’s a sink and a mirror and tile around the shower. It’s fantastic. December’s also going to be remembered for lots of snow and my first lino block project. Sweetness.

2010 is already almost a week in and I’m not sure what to make of it. Some hopes for this year:

  • Hopefully this will be the year our family grows.
  • Hopefully this will be the year that Husband actually gets a raise.
  • Hopefully this will be the year that my little bro realizes that the thing he’s looking/waiting for is God.
  • Hopefully this will be the year that Church in the Word-ers get seriously evangelistic.
  • Hopefully this will be the year that I learn how to knit.

What are you hoping for in 2010?
