Looking up

I left the following comment on my friend Jody’s blog and even as I typed it (in response to her lovely post, which you can read here) I felt Holy Spirit nudge me.

“I have a picture that I took from the top of a set of three stairs outside a small church building in a nameless village in India. Crammed within the frame of the photo are at least 20 children.

“The girls are all wearing bright colors. The boys are filthy. Some of them are smiling. Some of them are decidedly NOT smiling. Some of them look curious, but every face is turned up toward me. Waiting for me to come back.”

And it was as though I heard God say, “Me too.”

February in pictures

Taking a break from the serious conversation to look back at February. If you’re not playing the 365 days game on Flickr, it’s not too late. You can do March ’09 to March ’10.

February ’09. The Steelers won the Super Bowl. We got a couch AND two kitchen chairs. Timothy almost lost a finger. We started the new t-shirt project (hopefully we’ll actually launch it in March!). We stood with Bound4Life. Eze bestowed Photoshop upon us. I didn’t get pregnant, and made a vow to get healthy.

I think I missed a couple days, and I cheated on at least one ’cause Tami actually took the picture.

I think this one’s my favorite for this month. You can see all of ‘em here.
